Six Sigma

Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and minimizing variability in the manufacturing processes. It uses a set of quality management methods, including statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of employees within the organization who are experts in the methodology.

Six Sigma projects follow a sequence of steps and have quantified value targets so companies can measure their results.
