The Lean Certification program helps manufacturers build internal capacity by providing their employees with a working knowledge of the principles and practices of Lean. The training will be a combination of learning in the morning and applying the tools in the afternoon. Many of the afternoon sessions will be hosted at participants’ companies to get hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Each session will focus on a fundamental tool of lean, with the final session ending on the Lean Certification Exam.

The fundamentals of Lean will be presented in an interactive workshop. Participants will work through transitioning a fictitious manufacturing plant to a Lean manufacturing company.
Knowing where the waste is in your business processes is critical to know where to focus your improvement efforts. Learn a tool to visually show you where the wastes are in your company’s business processes and how you can reduce and/or eliminate them.
Learn the principles and techniques needed to apply 5S and establish visual management systems to improve workplace communication and adherence to standards.
Standard work is a key element in the elimination of waste and excess inventory. It is also the foundation for continuous improvement and sustainability. This session will teach participants how to develop and implement standard work.
Setup time takes away from valuable production time and can also result in overproduction, which can lead to producing waste. This workshop will provide you with a systematic process that will help reduce the time required for setups.
