Lean 101 Training
About
Lean 101 training is an all-day, hands-on workshop where attendees will learn about the principles of Lean manufacturing through a series of lectures and factory simulations. Attendees will learn about the history of Lean, Lean tools, and get to see the transformative impact Lean can have on a manufacturing facility.
The workshop uses a “learn and do” approach where attendees will use what they have learned to make changes to the fictitious factory using a structured lean Kaizen tool. During the simulation exercises, attendees will apply Lean concepts such as standardized work, visual signals, batch-size reduction, pull systems, quality at the source, and more to the manufacturing process.
Attendees will see firsthand how Lean concepts can improve quality, reduce cycle time, improve delivery performance, reduce WIP, and enable the company to show a profit and gain a competitive edge in the marketplace. Each simulation looks at metrics related to lead-time, production output, quality, inventory, revenue, and profit.
